MSK ULTRASOUND

As part of your diagnostic evaluation for your musculoskeletal condition,  musculoskeletal ultrasound is a necessary tool. This technology uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the inside of your body, allowing Dr. Babaria to assess the structure and function of your muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints.

Before the procedure, you may be asked to change into a gown or loose-fitting clothing to allow for better access to the area being examined. During the ultrasound scan, you will lie on a table or sit in a chair, and ultrasound gel will be applied to your skin to help the ultrasound glide smoothly over the area being examined. We will be capturing images that will be displayed on a screen. Sometimes your pain occurs in a specific position, and MSK Ultrasound can provide that real-time evaluation in the position that reproduces symptoms. No other imaging modality allows for both - Real-time data while in the position of discomfort.

Your personalized report will have the following:

  1. Patient information, including name, age, and date of the exam
  2. Clinical indications for the exam (i.e., the reason for the evaluation)
  3. The anatomical location of the area being examined
  4. Description of the tissues examined, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints
  5. Overall assessment of the structure and function of the tissues examined
  6. Any abnormalities or pathologies observed during the exam
  7. Recommendations for further evaluation or treatment, if necessary
